most of these screws are 6 X 1.0 mm
the same size as a bolt with a 10 mm head

Tonight while bleeding my coolant system, I over-tightened the plastic   bleed screw and broke it off. Half of it remains in the hose, and   thankfully not in the coolant system.

On my old 505 V6 I had a coolant hose with a metal bleed screw. Can   anyone recall the size and/or thread type for the metal type screw?

Ideally, I'm going to superglue the screw head back on so that I can   remove it and replace it with a metal one. Darn plastic parts.
