The definitive tech info on this car should be available from
L'Aventure Peugeot in Sochaux France.
The 402 DS "customer version" Darl'Mat specs (1936-1938):
Overhead valve engine, Type TH
1991 cc displacement
83 mm bore, 92 mm stroke
7.4:1 comprssion ratio
70 DIN HP @ 4250 rpm (instead of 58 HP in standard 402)
Top speed: 140+ km/h
The 402 DS "competition version" had an 8.55:1 CR and gave 87 HP at
4500 rpm.
If the car is a 1939, it is possible that it has the Type TH 2
engine, 2142 cc, 99 mm stroke, but I don't know the power output of
the DS (stock 402 was 63 HP).
One of the Darl'Mat cars that raced at Le Mans in 1938 reportedly had
an experimental 1998 cc engine with hemispherical combustion chambers.
