I wouldn't use compressed air straight away. I don't
know if you have wire coat-hangers, but what I do is
straigten a wire hanger and then gently prod it
through the drain hole(s). Once I have dislodged most
of the mud, then I use compressed air with the
combination of a bit more prodding with the wire
hanger.
