Hello,
It is with great regret that I am selling this car. I bought it a year and
a
half ago and have spend many G's getting it right. I am keeping only my Mi16
and my Citroën CX for toys and going domestic for the daily drivers.
The car has 110,000 on the odo, and the body is very solid (FL car),
although some clown jacked the car improperly and bent some of the
undercarriage.
I had the engine rebuilt, replaced the pistons, head redone (although it
may
have seepage), new radiator, rebuilt alternator. The car runs great, has
never stranded me or threatened to overheat. The AC condenser has a hole in
it,
but the system works great (my daughter could "see her breath" last summer).
There are a few small oil drips, uses almost no oil. The autobox is
flawless,
cooler lines replaced last June. Very smooth shifts, no problems with the
ZF. New cat back exhaust.
The hood looks as if it went through a hailstorm. The rest of the car is
solid, no rust at all at the underside of the doors. The tailgate is another
mystery: it's been replaced. The panels all line up, but something is fishy.
There has been a minor front end collision, but the bumper has been
straightened
out. The car has Euro lights, and everything works. The MXV4's have 20,000
miles on them with about 40,000 left. The wheels are true, no vibration. I
am
getting rid of the set of four Michelin snows with one season's wear and
the
extra set of alloys, too. The windshield is aftermarket, and had a small
stone
chip, not in the line of vision. The rest of the glass is great. The
driver's side exterior mirror does not work. The fog lights work, but the
lenses are
cracked.
The interior is clean. The seats are excellent, no tears. The headliner has
a couple of small flaws, the carpets are very good. The weatherstripping at
the doors is not perfect. No cracks in the dashboard. I have installed a
Blaupunkt CD player which works wonderfully. There is a factory antenna in
the up
position.
Additional parts in boxes: new front brake rotors, used cylinder head
(core), head gasket set, miscellaneous used starter, coil, distributor.
Haynes
manual (doesn't cover the engine).
I have used this car as a daily driver for the past year. The boost is set
at ten. It will easily spin right up to a buck twenty indicated if the
driver
is not paying attention. I'll send pictures on request. No tire kickers.
Thanks for your interest.
Bill
