Hello,
I have a rebuilt head from a 1987 N9TE for sale. I'd like $500.00 for
it, and that doesn't even cover what I have spent on it. Machine work
done by Whitman Engines in Kirkland, WA includes:
-Stress relieved (some sort of high-temperature oven process)
-Cracks between exh. valve seat and water jacket in #2 and #3 welded
-Bead blasted entire casting
-Gasket surface planed (including front timing cover)
-3-angle valve grinding (entire valvetrain is included w/ head)
The head is better than new and should not crack like an original,
unworked head. Includes complete valvetrain (valves, springs,
keepers, rockers, camshaft, etc.). Also includes front timing cover
(machined to match head). It all looks brand new.
You could come pick it up locally (Seattle), or it could be shipped
UPS. If it's shipped I'll make a nice wood crate to protect it. It's
kinda heavy, though, so it won't be especially cheap to ship it.
