I need to make one correction on information from above link. Mi16
engine is NOT "distributor-less". As stated, presense of cap and rotor
turn by intake came means it's still a "distributor" system. Later
Mi16, introduced for 1993 model year (not sold in US) with 2L engine
has a true distributor-less system. There are no distributor cap and
rotor on that motor.
Information on Mi16 is easy to find if you know where to look for.
Haynes manual has detailed information about gearbox and engine specs.
