I will have to agree with August, I have had Peugeots since the late 70's and have had just about every make of tires and by far the worst experience has been with Yokohama AVS.
As for smoth ride and quiteness and mileage, I have not found a better tire then the Michelin Energy, even the local Goodyear tire shop admits the michelin energy is a great tire.
My 5 cents for whatever it's worth.
