There is an LED on the dash that gives a repeating 5 flash code.
When it does this the idle is very rough and the engine will
generally die within a minute. If I turn the ignition completely
off, then back on again, it will clear the error "most" of the time.
I do not have a manual for this car yet, so I am hoping that someone
on the list will know what it means.
I just purchased this car last night and have a few other things that
OnI could use help on too...
The clutch must be pushed all the way in to operate and takes quite a
bit of force. I'm wondering if this is an adjustment, or if there is
a fix that needs to happen.
The fan is always on and cannot be adjusted by the lever on the
dash. (I need to figure out how to remove the front cover of the
console so I can look into that one, probably just disconnected)
Shifting is very rough and the gear stick seems a little loose, this
may just be digging down into the linkage and making sure everything
is tight.
On the upside, the car has significantly more power than the 85 505
2.0L STI that I have. SO I'm looking forward to a road trip or two
in the next few months.
