[Peugeot-L] How to repair 405 door lock buttons?

Hi,

I need to repair the door lock buttons on my 405. 3 out of 4 now just slide on the wire that they attach to instead of moving the mechanism.

I was wondering if its a normal failure mode or if somebody has spares before getting my hands on JBWeld and reattach them 'chilean' style....

Thanks,

ps. I already shipped all the headlights. tomorrow I should get the tracking info on the 4 sets I shipped last week. They were supposed to be in your hands already and I filed a complaint today with the shipper. And... I shipped them insured and will replace them if they get lost so don't worry. you know were to find me anyway.... here.
