Richard,
Good luck with that quest. I was looking for one a while back, I
think Brian Holm offered some used ones. I tried to grad the one off
my parts car as it looked in good shape and was not leaking but
getting the aluminum fittings to give up and come loose proved futile
and they snapped off. I priced a new one at the time and they were
around $600CDN. My old one had a small leak, and still does for that
matter, for quite some time. If the leak is small enough you may get
away with driving it until you can find a replacement or adapt
something else. As you are attempting to do though, it should be
replaced as soon as possible.
