[Peugeot-L] Hirschmann antenna

Hey all,

I have TWO NOS OEM Hirschmann antennas for a 89 505 sedan.

I can't mount either because I don't have the correct top mounting hardware. It came with a plastic retaining ring that looked correct and would work, but it disintegrated when I tried to put it on. Evidently, although it was new and unused, but plastic it was made of wasn't up to the test of time.

I need an antenna.

I have an old beater that George @ Sunset sold me ($100) when I first got the car, but it was always loud and slow. It's dying.

Now, you can take off the upper part of the old 87 antenna and put it onto the new 89 antenna, but I can't get the tip off. I can get the tip off the 87 style antenna. It just screws off. The ones on the "new" ones look like they're press-fit on there. Right?

Any solutions? Anybody got one they want to sell/trade/etc.?
