No engine ever siezed from the wrong brand of oil. Though I use Shell
myself, 20W50 in the summer and 15W40 in the winter. Just remember, a
diesel engine has a lot of heat, a turbo diesel gives even more heat.
Choose you oil accordingly to handle the heat of the engine. A Peugeot
shortcoming has historically been barely adequate cooling systems that
aren't up to the task in hot climates. ( I know this will draw lots of
protest from the purists ) That means the oil has more heat to disipate.

'82 505 Turbodiesel sedan with a recored 3 tube aluminum radiator that still
barely keeps the engine under control on 100+ degree days, making it
difficult to run the AC in town driving, or hill climbing.
