I put too much (about 40%) used french fry oil in my 85 TD and it smelled great
and ran well but ever after the pump leaked. It was one of the dumber movers in my
long history of dumb moves.
I've heard you can run 10% french fry (canola) oil without problem but above that you
need to run separate tanks and use a heater.
All of this has nothing to do with BioDiesel.
I would recommend you talk to the people making it.
I have installed a new pump since the FF episode and I am trying to work up the the nerve to
get rid of the used turkey oil in my back yard...the environmentally friendly way.
The injection pumps used in these cars were designed to run on high sulpher diesel.
The sulpher acted as a lubricant and now 20 years later the fuel has been reformulated
with way less sulpher. It is imperative that a lubricant be added to the fuel.
There are numerous diesel lubrisity addatives forsale ...even in WalMart.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] Can I run my '85 505 S TD on biodiesel?
I am the happy new owner of the aforementioned vehicle (only 98,000
miles!), and am busy learning all of its quirks. I'm not a mechanic,
but am seeking to learn in the course of this "project."
I want to know if I can safely run it on B100 or at least B20.
What specifically do I need to look out for, and if I have an engine
problem, how will I know whether my biodisel is to blame or whether it
is simply a failure that was going to happen anyway?
