I found a 504 TI SW (2 liter, Kugelfischer injenction) with a manual
transmission. The initial objective was to use it as a donor car (the
engine and transmission will be souped up to Africa rally specs and put
in my 504 coupe snd save the existing coupe engine and tranny as backup),
but the more I look at the SW, the more I like it and want to keep
it running, even tough it looks tired. I also located a 604 SL parts
car with a carburated PRV V6 and automatic transmission in excellent
condition. Is it possible to shoehorn the engine and trasmission of
the 604 into the 504 SW? (The 604 can only be used as a parts car.)
They are of the same period (76 and 77).
