i have just replaced the cv joint rubber boot on my '93 405 deisel but
when i removed the joint there was no snap ring in the groove at the
end of the drive shaft. so i replaced it the same.
Is it possible for the shaft to come out when driving like this? doesnt
seem to be enough free movement to allow this but when then would one
normally be fitted?
