Hello from Athens, Greece. As if didn't have enough Peugeot projects
going simultaneously (injection overhaul on my 1973 504 coupe,
transmission/diff rebuild on the 106 Rallye and parting out a 604
SL), I just starting on a new one. I will be building a classic
hill climb car out of a just acquired 1971 504 4 door which now has
a Euro version carburated XN1 from an early 505. I am hoping to use
as much of the 604 parts car as possible to widen the track and
improve roadhoalding. Dave McBean's Aussie site (hot five oh's)
mentions that you can use 604 front struts and suspension arms and
rear trailing arms to widen the front and rear tracks of the 504
sedan, but somehow this list seems incomplete to me. I am planning
to use as much of the 604 suspension as possible for this task,
including springs (I will cut them a tad to lower and stiffen the
504) anti-roll bars, axles, differentials, etc. Can you please give
me some guidance as to my best options? Brian, I know you are the
real guru on this, so If you are out there please pitch in. Also: I
would like to use a shorter differential, like a 9X38 (4.22) from a
504 SW or even a 9X37 (4.11) from an STI. Does anyone now the diff
gearing for the 604 SL automatic? Will it work for the 504?
