[Peugeot-L] Fuel tank problems - 86 505TD

Hey guys.

Recently had to get the little wench towed 50 miles (luckily had AAA) because I am having some major issues with a fuel blockage in the tank. The car doesn't get enough fuel to go over 30 mph. I have done a bit of R&R and it's not the filters. It's definitely coming from the tank. The problem is neither the haynes manual or any of my factory manuals say much about the fuel tank or the filter in it. I have the tank behind the seat and am wondering where is the pickup screen? (assuming there is one) How do I remove it or does anyone Onhave any suggestions for cleaning it in tank? solvent or something...

just for background, what is most likely causing blockage is wax that has precipitated out of the diesel fuel. You see, I was running a "blend" in this car of diesel and vegetable oil (heated) and often times the reaction with vegoil will neutralize the stabilizers in the diesel and cause the waxes to fall out and clog your filters, etc. Rest assured, I will not run a blend in this thing again, once I get it solved - or at least not a diesel/wvo blend.

any help would be appreciated.
-Tony
