Due to decreasing free time over these last few years at university, and
especially these last two, I have been mostly a lurker on the list, and in
fact haven't got around much to work on our cars! Heck I didn't even get
around adjusting the ride height on our (then new) 405 (which Mike Tippet
kindly scanned me the appropriate pages on the Haynes manual), before we
sold it around a year ago!
I've been driving Pugs here, esp. our beloved 504, since I got my driving
license, but I'm moving to the US, specifically Houston, TX, for graduate
studies in Computer Engineering at Rice University in a few weeks.
Surely factors such as total cost of ownership and reliability will become
first priority there. This along with the fact that I won't have the time or
means of working on my own car will mean no Peugeots for me (and
realistically, probably nothing other than a Japanese car)...
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all the help I've got from
everybody here over these years, some who are not with us any more, before
leaving... Please, feel free to email me off the list for any reason, and if
anybody near there wants any small, lightweight, hard to find Pug parts from
here (mostly 405/504), just drop me an email.
BTW I'll do my best to post a mini-review of the 206 before I leave :)
Thanks again...
Ahmad
