I only drive 63-65 depending on how my cruise control behaves. I go these
slow speeds because of Peugeot's ridiculously low gearing. Despite my slow
speed, the old XD2S 505 of mine still tachs at 2700 at 65mph indicated. I
thinks thats turning fast for even a "high revving" diesel engine. My dad
used to drive my car at 70+ when he owned it and constantly blew head
gaskets, even cracked the head on a long trip at 75mph. The car will go
fast, but there is a price to pay for all that pressure it endures.
