Okay then, let's do the math. Let's assume that the original size is
205/60/15. The height of the sidewall is (205X0.60) =123mm or 4.85
inches. If you times that by 2 and add 15 inches (the rim) you get a
total wheel diameter of 24.5 inches. If you want to keep the same total
diameter with 195's the sidewall height must remain 123mm so the aspect
ratio should be 123mm divided by 195mm or 63% so you are looking for a
195/63/15 which does not exist. But interestingly enough, this is right
in between 195/65/15 and 195/60/15. Most tire companies offer 60's as
the higher performance version, so by recommending that Peugeot offers
more tire brand options for the high end 505's and better pick-up
compared to the 65. But then again my Greek brain may not be in tune
with the French mind.

wait a sec. Why would peugeot recommend a 195/60 (not 195/65) and
205/60 to both work.. especially if the speedo is going to be off
with 195/60's!?! ...or am i misunderstanding.
