[Peugeot-L] Running in Alcohol?

Can I run my '71 504 on alcohol?
Which one? Ethanol? Methanol?
I heard that some fuel hoses are required to be replaced along with some "special" gaskets at the carb.
I live in a very sunny country, so cold starts won't be a problem, as I heard from other alcohol-fueled cars.
I own some land, in which oranges are grown, most of them are properly picked up and but a bunch simply rot on the ground. I been told that making alcohol from them is fairly easy. I also can have access to almost-unlimited amounts of wood chips and sawdust from a nearby lumber yard, from which I was also told I can get alcohol from.
Any hints, experiences or ideas will be greatly appreciated!
