Peat,
You might try clear SuperMonokote. A particular form of Mylar. It is used to
cover the open structures of model aircraft, is strong, and has a built in
heat activated adhesive backing. It shrinks very well to remove wrinkles. I
have a special heat gun and electric iron designed to make applying it
easier, should you care to borrow them.

Koll,
I got my set and they look great but one of the lenses shattered in
transit and I'm waiting for the replacement, so I can't tell you how
they work. From the looks though they are definitely worth the price of
admission so I'd say go for it.
I also remember a while back someone mentioned a clear plastic film
that could be applied to the lens which helped to avoid rock chips and
the like. Does any one have the product specifics for this?
