Any one out there interested in an unusually well-maintained '84
wagon? I have been a die-hard Peugeot owner for forty years, and
have reached an age where I think it is best to move on to a new
car. I only wish new 505 wagons were available in the US - I'd buy
one in a heartbeat.
This particular wagon is very smooth, healthy-running, instant
starting, no knocks or rattles or over heating or oil consuming. I
keep it garaged and it stays there in the winter. Things I haven't
bothered to fix include the speedo (stopped working about a year ago
at 165,000)and the water temp guage. Over heating doesn't happen. I
opted to disconnect the AC when it needed re-filling. There must be
some other issues, but I can't think of them. Driver door hinges are
worn some, but the door fits, closes and locks, etc. correctly.
Tires are very good and an extra pair of mounted (studded) tires for
the rear go with the package. The emissions inspection is good
through 2007.
If you are interested, I did the photo album thing under Pictures on
this site, with 10 pictures of the exterior, interior, engine
compartment. And there are a few more I can email. I'm asking $800
for it, and will only sell it to someone who is also a Peugeot
afficianado (you know what I mean?). Feel free to call me at 203-263-
2892 or email at b.kenney@snet.net.
