my first peugeot, 89 S/DL was black. By the way, 89 Mi16 was availble with black but it was dropped for 91 model. They changed it to very dark grey, again lighter than light grey offered on 89 S/DL

Black was a very real colour....in the "S" and "Mi16" at least. Aftermarket wheels with "lion" stickers.
