[Peugeot-L] FITTING A TIGHT TIMING BELT

Hi All,

Does anybody know of any tricks of the trade on slipping over a new, tight timing belt when one replaces the old one?

In this case, it's on my '91 ZDJL engine. I can put the old belt on because it is so stretched out but the new belt is really, and I mean really tight. It's tough to slip over the timing gears even when the tensioner isn't on!.

Thanks,

Carl
