Bill, before I'd start mucking around with the tachymetric relay (yes, it has one) or the AFM, try carefully cleaning and/or tightening the connections of the signal wires at the distributor. (not the main spark wires, the signal wires). A bad connection there is common, and can cause the symptoms you complain of. Marty
