Not sure about the locks.....
The valve stem seals is a big job; the cam probably has to come out.
Fix that binding drum before you leave!
If you can find a 504 or 505, take that, because 205s have little
credibility in Africa, certainly not as cross-country vehicles.
I watched a TV show about some French guys who drive a couple of
clapped-out 504/505 estate cars to Senegal, and they got very large $
cash in the Souk for them.
