Re: [Peugeot-L] Re: Window failure/505 passenger side

Brian et al,

Last night I took out the door panel and checked the problem.

I used a contact cleaner from Wurth for the electrical connections first.

I finger tested all the nuts. Hey, two of the nuts holding the motor (AOP) to the door frame were completely loose. The motor could flex and flop a bit. I tightened everything up nicely, then lubricated joints. I pried the window a bit. Then tried it with power. It worked. Further lubrication of the rollers in their tracks, the scissors frame, gears, etc. Up, down, Up, down. Very nice.

I am not sure that this issue of sensing the the position of the window is not the culprit, and will keep it in mind as a potential cause. Meanwhile, we will try it as is and see what happens.

Thanks to all for the help from all of you.

Rob
