I agree. I also purchased a rebuilt Steering rack, complete from Brian Holm, for my '87 505 STI V-6
installed it myself and not a problem at all, no leaking, noise or other problems associated with a bad rack or pinion gear. I also need to replace the power steering pump, so it was all done at the same time.
Now everything works, variable speed sensitive steering, full left to right action and NO LEAKS.
