Try as I have, just couldn't keep the desert sun from "checking" the
roof, hood and boot paint of my Pug. Best estimates I can get are $2K
and up, for a strip-down job. One shop says the checking will show
through on their paint-over paint job...anyone gone this route? I
don't want to spend more on the paint than what the pug's worth,
although I consider it worth a lot more...bought it new, has only 117K
and gives me 40+ mpg on the freeway, 36mpg around town. Haven't
reached that point where it's giving me any serious trouble. Looking
for a paint shop in the Phoenix area that can do a reasonable job at a
Onreasonable rate...responses may be directed to azironwood@cox.net.
Thanks.
