well first off thanks for the replies and advice, the tranny seems excelent as far as shifting goes, with a light to moderate throtle it shifts smooth as glass, without any abnormal slipping, it feels real solid and does not spend much time "in between or searching" for gears. when you give it full or heavy throtle the gear change is quick precise and a little more harsh but normal for a old mechanical auto box.

What are some other symptoms of a failing tranny? this one seems to be in excelent shape, but i will keep a close eye. the fluid smells slightly burned/clutch smell, but looks ok, should i change it?. i have heard storys if it was not changed on a regular schedual, DONT CHANGE or the tranny will go bad sooner, some tranny shops told me that too.

also are the front struts rebuildable? they are slightly weak and jutter a slight bit over bumpy roads.

overall its not my mi16 i only get about 25mpg city and about 30-32 mpg hwy but its comfy and it gives my clutch foot a rest (auto)and there is no other car i have driven that can put a smile on my face but a peugeot thanks chris
