HHmmm.
In the 100s or likely 1,000s of Metal Master installations in both track and street Volvos over the years both here and mailorder customers, noise is unheard of ( possibly too slight to mention) or solved by proper installation. Hard to put into words: They do not stop nearly as well cold but work very much better cold than overheated, faded pads. For street Onuse/normal driving, this has never been a problem....outbraking somebody in turn 1 doesn't happen here on my road. Racing the 1800E, I do heat em up on the pace lap and I do outbrake others in turn 1!

(Likely, I have metal masters in stock for every RWD ((Right Wheel Drive)) Volvo)

Say what??? Wouldn't they be the same calipers that never had any brake fade in my 242T that I used to use to beat up other instructors and their Porchz on the track?

The PBR Deluxe will fade well before Castrol LMA will boil! I have some customers that use LMA on the track without problems....they're slower than I am.

It was almost a separate speech they gave us of cautions about the brakes after being on the track in
their AMG Mecedes Benz. I just spent the weekend driving and instructing in AMGs @ RA. (I got to drive all of em except the McLaren and the super G wagon. Never been pushed back into the seat in a 4 door sedan like the S65...twin turbo, 12 cyl, 600+hp and 700+ ft lbs of torque.)

Rotor wear depends on the rotors, as well as, the pads. I raced the Volvo 1800E for about 10 years before replacing the front rotors in the spring because they were getting close to the minimum. A few days later, someone came along and bought the used, finely grooved but true rotors to use for years on the street.

I've almost forgotten turbobricks since they stopped having the maillist I was on for years. I'll save the links (THANKS)and read when I can.
