Lights - What might cause "stop" and the high engine temperature
(upper end of temp gauge) to come on periodically, always together, on
restart after a brief shutdown on a hot day. No other symptoms and
it goes away after a couple more shutdown/start ups... Needle likes to
ride higher up than any other 505 -- around 9:30 or 10:30 clock hands
position in the hot weather but no overheat. Fan seems to cut in and
out (I can hear it as an additional intermittend whaarrrrr at high
speed) on the highway....[The Cape (Cod) was great this past
week....see capecodbaseball.com for baseball the way it used to be...]
Noise - front left brake does a consistent incremental metallic creak
/loud click when applying additional pedal pressure, with an
accompanying miniscule amount of additional pedal travel. The pads
look fine and even and the pins or clips (Bendix) look OK. Disc looks
smooth and even. A very slight amount of play of the caliper is
present (1 mm?) as mounted (in place) anda fairly pronounced pull to
the opposite side upon braking. Came on suddenly / consistently from
no suspect "event". rotor spins nicely.
any ideas?
