Hello everyone,
Just wanted to take a moment to (re)introduce myself. I was a member
of this list from around Dec. '97 until spring 2001, having driven a
great '89 405DL for those three and a half years. In early 2001, I had
the opportunity to purchase one of my all-time favorites, a '94 Alfa
Romeo 164LS, so the 405 unfortunately had to go. Since then, the Alfa
has also gone, replaced a couple years back by a newer Saab 9-3. That
car is returning to the dealer next week, and my new replacement? A
1987 505 Turbo S. I'm looking forward to rejoining the list and
reconnecting with some of the good folks I met back then (Renato...you
still out there?). So far, I've been enjoying the Turbo quite a bit --
it has some body damage (passenger fender and headlamp, already
ordered), but otherwise is in excellent condition and runs great.
My first question -- how does one remove the fender on a 505? I
understand there are some screws hidden behind body sealant at the
front and back. Any hints on where to dig for these?
Thanks!
Adam
