I thought you could still bring a car in as a track car. Giving up the Vin number and stating that it will be trailered to the track and only used as a race car.  

Then if it happens to get test driven with a Lic plate of a similar make of car oh well. Yes I know its way in the grey area. But I ve seen it done with some Apha's and BMWs.

Obviously there were some back doors that allowed these cars in but I heard that after the 9/11 most of these doors got closed by tightening the border.
