Hi all,
Please note that this is jeffs car that has the problem, so please direct replies to him.
With Peugeots, particularly the 505 V6, besides the obvious component faults that need to be checked for, the integrity of the wiring and connections needs to be checked. Just because the ECU is not getting a good signal from a sensor does not mean that either the sensor or ecu is faulty. Don't forget all the wiring and crimped on connections and OnOnrelays and fuses and connector blocks and splices.... I just lent a friend a V6 afm, because he had been told his one was faulty. The loan one proved it was not the afm, and he was saved megabucks. It turned out to be a loose wire behind the engine... And that is fairly typical of a number of 505 electrical problems I have had to fix.
