[Peugeot-L] Ref Peugeot Pete

I have a special request for those of you who have been on the list for awhile and remember my husband, Peugeot Pete.

At his own request there was no funeral so the family is holding a memorial service in October - the first anniversary of his death. There'll be a table set up with photos, army medals, his "Peugeot Pete" and "I Fix Peugeots, Inc" caps and the like.

I'd like to also have some short letters from his Peugeot Group friends there for his family to see how much he meant to you. I recall the many emails and cards you sent during his last months and shortly after his death were very heartwarming and reflected the kind of person he really was. I had printed all those letters of tribute and gave them to a friend to keep for me since it  was too painful to see them after he died. My friend can't seem to locate them now. If it wouldn't be too much trouble a short paragraph or even a sentence or two would be deeply appreciated. And please include your state or country. You can direct them to his email address which I'm sending this from, or to my address, _civesorders@aol.com_ (mailto:civesorders@aol.com) .

Also, just to let you know, I haven't forgotten about his Peugeot tools, manuals and parts. That's why I haven't closed out his AOL account yet.My house has been under almost complete renovation and his garage is still stuffed with  building materials. It's been physically impossible to get to his Peugeot things. It's looking like the end is finally in sight and hopefully I can get to them in a few weeks. A friend has been storing his Peugeot microfiche viewer and was working on getting his vast accumulation of Peugeot related files on his computer compiled. I bought a digital camera months ago and signed up on eBay. Pete wanted his group friends to have first choice before anyone else. I just haven't figured out the best way to do that yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also one question. Pete has literally hundreds of tools. Other than the obvious ones in labeled boxes or pouches, is there an easy way to tell a specialized Peugeot tool from an ordinary one? He has several big tool boxes full and they all look alike to me. I know he had a lot of specialized Peugeot tools, including some he made himself. There's no one here locally who can help me and I don't know beans about tools. There's one thing hanging on the wall that looks like something out of a Stephen King novel or a butcher shop. Someone said it was used to pull a valve or something out of an engine. Still looks like a meat hook to me.

Thanks............Carol Ives (Mrs. Peugeot Pete)
