Of course this only applies to factory Peugeot tools. The older workshop
manuals I have seen often had instructions for making special tools, eg
the addition to the 203 manual has about 10 pages detailing special
tools to be made in the workshop, so these would be unlikely to be
stamped with the peugeot number.
So a tool with the number is a genuine Peugeot special tool.
Without the number it may be a special Peugeot tool, or something else.
