Hello -
Second time posting to the list. Selling our beloved 505 Sti that's been
a daily driver for the last 5 years. We're in Grass Valley, which is in
Northern California an hour outside of Sacramento in the Sierra
Foothills. I'm willing to meet halfway, depending on distance. Otherwise
we can arrange for shipment.
Specs:
Asking $1200
136,000 original miles
4 cyl Turbo Diesel (turbo is good)
Good tires (converted to '86 std rims) Falkens from Big O
Rear seats replaced with like and kind leather from '86 sedan
New brake pads in '04
Great Pioneer XM-ready AM/FM CD deck with 4 new speakers
Gets 23 city, 28 highway MPG - excellent mpg
Other issues:
Paint is OK, but could use a redo
Sunroof not functional (casing got messed up, as usual)
Leaky power steering ram
Driver side seat has rips in leather(seat covers)
Some coolant leakage (not sure where yet)
Some history:
This car was given to me by my relatives in 2000 and the husband drove
it to and from work 7 miles 5 days a week since it was new in 1985. We
are second owners, and have it worked on by a Peugeot mechanic in San
Diego named Jack Looney, who is an excellent and extremely experienced
and fairly priced tradesman (if any needs his number, I can supply). I
can also send photos to whomever is interested.
Other than that, we've replaced all the hoses 2 years ago, as well as
had the head gaskets replaced (and surfaces ground). Various standard
parts replaced as needed.
It runs very well and has been very faithful to us. We had to replace it
as we needed a larger car with AWD for skiing and camping, transporting
kids etc.
