I'm not so sure it could be that they didn't fix the cracks when the head was off, rather they did, but now the head is cracked. The heads are the weakpoint of the N9T's as we all know. The head could have been fixed perfectly, but not re-torqued properly (or *something*) which lead to to the head cracking.

as far as driving it goes, is there a lot of water in the oil? Adding water because it's leaking externally out of the exhaust side of the head near #1 cylinder (which i've seen a few times), shouldn't really be damaging the motor, but if you drive extended distances on milkshake oil, i dont think the bearings are going to be very happy with you..
