XC70 and V70 are the same size. The XC70 just has a jacked up suspension. They're not terribly big, not as bad as the Magnum, but not as big as their RWD wagons.

I think there's a market for a full sized RWD sedan and wagon platform. Chrysler is trying with their Magnum and Charger. Unfortunately it seems like they're putting out about as much effort as GM did with the Fiero (before they canceled it and said Americans didn't want a sporty two door coupe, and Mazda introduced and promptly sold millions of Miatas).

A really inspired Peugeot or Citroen suspension would be nice. Exotic motors would be nice. That said, quite frankly I'd be happy with something very simple. A Scion xB would be pretty high on my list of cars to consider, if I had to buy a new car today.

And of course with gas prices headed the way they are, I'd love a diesel. We only get the VW and MBZ diesels stateside. I wouldn't mind a 307SW HDi. People chip their VW TDIs to get that kind of power. And it's got a six speed. YUM. That would be quite a Focus killer, altho I wonder if Ford's influence on the engine is a bad thing.
