Turbo pro and con?

My recently installed XN6 in the 86 505 automatic wagon is such a smooth and healthy engine. Perfectly adequate. Simple to work on for the most part. I feel really lucky to have gotten a used one in good shape.

My 86 5-speed Turbo is such fun though. I've never in my life had a car with a fair amount of pep. The new Kumho Extasias (spelling uncertain; how do they name these things I wonder?) from TireRack.com are the best cheap ($44 USD) tires I've ever had and they seem to work very well on the car.

I'll really miss it when the head blows or something. From what I gather, this may be the last press of the grape for people owning 505 Turbo's on a budget like me, what with parts being scarce and so on.

It is hot as Hades under the hood, (instruments all read normal) and more difficult to service as compared to the XN6. The cool down after running makes me slightly impatient. But to me the look and sound of the engine is very attractive, not to mention the reliable handling and the extra fifty horsepower. I'm glad to have one, but it fell into my lap so to speak. I guess I'd have to say that the XN6 powered wagon is more practical for me, if forced to choose.
