Sadly, it's time to let my 1989 Mi16 go. This is actually a repost from
my earlier ad a few months previously; due to ongoing family issues, I'm
losing my parking for it in about three weeks and don't have space to
keep it at my apartment.
It's a white 1989 Mi16 with (very nice) red leather interior and 173000
miles on the clock. I'm the second owner from new, having bought it in
November of 2001 just after an engine rebuild at 109000.
The good:
- Runs nice and cool, even in traffic.
- Gearbox is nice and crisp.
- Cold A/C (see note below).
- Alpine CDA-7894 AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with four Infinity 6012i speakers.
- Pretty much everything works.
- New ignition coil and battery.
- Car is straight. Some minor dents on the driver's side (was run into
by a deer) would come out with a Popsadent or similar. Paint's
excellent, with the exception of the front bumper (some peeling).
- Sits on Michelin MXV4+ tires with a few thousand miles left in them.
- Replaced catalytic converter prior to smog in January.
- Tags through April of 2006.
- California car, so rust-free.
The not-so-good:
- Needs a sunroof cable.
- The A/C works, but I think the relay for the fan controller bit the
dust. Heard it buzzing intermittently, then no blower. A/C was
ice-cold up to that point.
- Small (1.5"-long) tear in the driver's side seat bolster. Didn't go
all the way through, so may be patchable.
- Needs a brake master cylinder. I have one coming next week; this will
be done before sale.

I'm open to offers in the $2000 range. This is a really nice Mi16 that
I want to go to an enthusiast who will take care of and drive it the way
it's meant to be rather than throwing it up on eBay and taking my
chances. If you're interested, please email me off-list and we can work
the rest out from there.
Thanks,
