, Lacquer doesn't hold up very well, and it skins up
so it will need to be at least high speed buffed.
If you want fairly cheap with a little orange peel
(which can be sanded and buffed out) but durable,
then what about an acrylic enamel. Urethanes are by
far the toughest, but they are expensive and very
dangerous as inhalation can cause brain damage.
