[Peugeot-L] 84 505 STI pads

The grinding noise, that sounded like a worn out pad having gone metal to metal turned out to be a worn out right front pad. Two months ago the pad looked fine. Today there was no pad left to see.

A week, or so, ago there was a discussion on the best brake pads to use (I think it was in regard to the 405). I was wondering if there was a definitively best pad to use for my 505 fronts.

Also, assuming that the rotor is beyond turning, my plan is, since the other rotor is fine and was new a few years ago, to simply buy one rotor as opposed to two. I assume this makes sense. Any responses or advice will be gladly welcomed.
Thanks,
Ken
