[Peugeot-L] Economy 405 TD

Hi all.. Just been 750 miles in my 405, tried to calculate economy and have got 43.6 MPG (UK) for first 550 dry fast miles, and 34.6 MPG for last 200 (a fair bit of air added to three tires, but very wet conditions for last 125 miles)

Overall 40.8 MPG which I am pleased with, as the car was quite well loaded, and speeds were between 70 and 90. But is it normal to get such a drop, in wet weather?
