Oh boy... where do I start. First, I see a rare, one of only handful
of 89 505 turbo 5 speed turned into another rice burner with big
wheel, huge spoiler and big coffee can muffler (sorry but I hate those
big mufflers, they are too loud and I am very annoyed by them passing
by).
Yes, your car looks "cool" and "awesome". I am big fan of yellow and I
thought about painting one of my 405s in yellow. I am all for
modification and making the car look modern and go faster.
If there were plenty of 505 turbo 5 speed to go around, I would buy 2
of them for my self, restore one to factory original condition and go
crazy on other one (but I wouldn't do spoiler, they are way out of
style now, and no big muffler).
But this particular model was imported in very small number, try less
than 10 for entire US, and god knows how many of them are left in this
country. Yes, it's just a car and it's owner has a right to do what
ever she/he wants to do to it. But it just makes me sad to see another
rare model turn into a rice burner/hot rod.
May be you haven't seen the beauty of restoring the classic car to the
factory original spec or may be it's just me.
