Hey! how you been? - It's nice to hear from you! -
Actually, I just got back from Ensenada this morning
at about 5 a.m. - I was there over the weekend
visiting some friends down there. Interesting what
you said about the scanning thing, that had never
crossed my mind, when we re-entered last night, it was
pretty quick, they didn't check any insurance
registration or anything of the like, but I suppose
what you could do, it would be easier in my case with
a 405 since there are many more around than the 504's,
but you could buy a cheap junker & drive it down
there, switch the plates & vin, then just ditch the
old one there & drive the new one back. You could
probably sell or even give the old one away to someone
down there who you see could use it as they really
don't care much about where the cars come from as long
as they have something to drive, half the cars there
aren't registered anyway. By the way, what leads you
to beleive that there is a scanning procedure in place
there? - have you heard anything to support this or is
it more of a hunch? - It would seem like a good idea
for the U.S., I'd be interested to know if that's in
place or not. I havent been driving the Mi16 much
lately, it has a lot of problems right now & I just
bought an 05' Mercedes Benz C230 Sport Sedan that I'm
lovin! - I guess I should post some pics later so you
all can see it, it's lowered of course with rolled
fenders, 19" rims, tinted windows, ect.
Oh well, say hi to your family for me...and your
daughter ;)
