In doing the front brakes on my 84 505 STI sedan I had to remove a
caliper. I pulled the caliper piston and noticed that the bore of the

vise, it doesn't seem to seat all the way. I am certain that the
cylinder is in the right direction with the line-in and bleed nipple
facing upward on the slide.
Does anyone know what I am talking about and, if so, is there some sort
of trick to re-assembly that has eluded me? Though the calipers are
Ate there is no diagram for Ate calipers in my manual. The Teves,
which are covered in my manual, look to be closest to the ones that I
have on the car.
From the "dark territory "again,
