It is, subtly, a most enjoyable undertone to any drive. It gives a throaty sense of power and makes you feel good- even when you are not going all that fast. I too appreciate the feel. It works well even with the Bosal aftermarket in the '91 mi16, but sounds great with the OEM muffler in the '92 mi16.

Good call on the nice observation.
